Gift med Edla Jonsson (1885-1966) från Rågoliden, Sorsele. Bosatta på Tistelön-Sandsele, Sorsele. Makarna fick 17 barn men de drabbades av sorg flera gånger när barnen dog. Sex av dem dog under det första levnadsåret. Några av dem torde ha fört släktet vidare inom Sorsele - åtminstone Herbert och Sven.
